A number of users of the Google Maps application said that their navigation sound suddenly switched even though they had never changed the setting.
Quoted from the Phone Arena page, Friday (17/9/2021) this topic was discussed by users on the Twitter and Reddit platforms.
One Reddit user admitted to using the navigation feature with an English-speaking female voice assistant.
When used, the voice changes to a male voice with a slight Indian accent.
Another user said the navigation voice alternated between a female voice and a male voice with an Indian accent during use.
Changes that are allegedly caused by this bug occur in the Maps application on Android and Google, in several countries that use everyday English.
The official Google Maps account on Twitter stated they will fix the issue soon.
"Hi there, we're sorry for your experience. The team is working on fixing it and it will be rolling out soon. Thanks for your patience," said @googlemaps in response to a user's complaint about this issue.
